Aaron Bernard's Reaction To Cloud Computing
Internet is the future. Soon enough, there will be no sophisticated operating systems like today's Windows and Mac OS. In my opinion, Google Chrome OS is a great step forward in computing. Some day, every task you do on your computer will be completed through "web apps". It may be a difficult concept to grasp, doing complicated tasks like editing movies and photos, or recording music, all through the web, on a PC that boots up in nearly 5 seconds, eliminating memory hogging anti-virus software, hidden startup items, lengthy splash screens, complicated boot-loaders, and all mechanical hardware. The result is a lightning fast computer that is designed to do one thing only, get on the internet quickly. Once you are on the internet, you can complete all your computing needs faster than ever. Basically all computers in the future will have is a Processor and Memory, no hard drive, all data will be stored on the cloud. But for now we have to wait. Currently, the first ever internet based computer is the Cr48 by Google. It is a notebook made by Google that ships with Google Chrome OS installed. Right now, these are only in a very early "Pilot" period, and Google is only giving them out to certian people. But sometime this year the Cr48 will be retailed and the first internet based computer will be available to the public.
Reaction to "Android! vs iOS! vs Blackberry?"
In my opinion, if apple doesn't make constant innovations to the iphone, then the android world is going to take over. The only thing keeping consumers buying iphones, is the "brand name", ease of use, and surprising innovations like "SIRI". With android, you get a lot more choices: in screen size, phone look, brands, different types of buttons, whatever you like... there are thousands of android phones to choose from. And for the slowly dying Blackberry, the only aspect that keeps Blackberrys in the market is their huge market share involved with businesses, which is getting smaller and smaller. Lets face it, BLACKBERRYS ARE PIECES OF CRAP... enough said. Apple and fellow android haters criticize that android isn't solid enough, that there are too many variations of the OS on different phones. I say, SO WHAT?!! They are still easy to use and a lot cheaper than iphones. Going back to the subject of android variation... well, there is just so much, its amazing. They've got dual-core cpu android phones, waterproof, shockproof, whateverthehellthereisproof, and much more. In my opinion, its only a matter of time until android completely dominates the smartphone business!
